Geocache Description:

The cache is located at the first commercial wind power project in South Africa

The wind turbine has a capacity of 1.8 MW which translates into an annual yield 5 700 000 kWh, enough energy to power about 1 700 households.

A R70 million special crane from Vanguard was used to erect the wind turbines.
It is one of only seven of its kind in the world and comes from Germany.
The wind turbine is a VESTAS V90 with a 95-meter tower and a 90-meter rotor.
It is quit an intimidating machine close up and makes an amazing sound when Turing.
There is a parking aria for viewing close-up.
Take the gravel road at the turn waypoint and drive to the parking aria.
