Geocache Description:

A paved walkway will take you most of the way, the last little bit can get VERY muddy so be prepared! Should be a bit challenging! Bring your own pencil for now! You are looking for apx. 1 1/2" x 7" camo'd tube. Enjoy!

This is our second hide in an Addison Park. Foxdale Park is a 13.7 acre park. It was created when the cornfield behind our house was subdivided into Foxdale. We weren’t too happy about the new subdivision at the time, but that was many years ago and we have mellowed a bit with age. Now we enjoy walking the track around the baseball diamonds and soccer field. There is a detention pond that has some large fish in it and the little ones will enjoy the playground on the east end near the parking.

Addison Park District park, rules:
• No Golfing
• No Unleashed Dogs
• No Feeding Geese
• Park Closes at Dusk

We are very pleased to have a pair of Red Tailed Hawks that nested in our back yard this year. They are large birds and watching them has become another past-time for us. They are avid hunters having a very keen sense of vision, they can see a mouse from the height of a mile. Red Tailed Hawks mate for life and return to the same nest year after year, unless an owl chooses to take over their nest (which apparently happens fairly often). We placed this cache with them in mind because you will have to use your Hawk eyes to find this cache. For more information on these interesting birds check out (visit link)

Beware of muggle activity in this area as your search may draw attention at certain times. Also, after placing this cache, we noticed some obvious teenage muggle activity in the area, so there are opportunities for CITO as well. We waited more than 3 months to publish just to be sure it was not discovered and pillaged easily but please be sure to

*********Use stealth!*********

*****Please return exactly as found*****

so everyone will enjoy the challenge!

Beginning Cache contents: Turned Bottle Stopper for the first to find (we are woodturners!), and a log. Should be room for small TB’s and/or trade items. (For now, bring your own writing utensil because it won’t fit at this point – will fix that shortly).

The coordinates should take you within 10’ +/- and it is definitely on Foxdale Park property so no worries there. You should expect a bit more challenge than our first cache Planted In Centennial Park (GC1ZZHX) or third cache Not Quite Illuminated (GC2AZHM) both are close by, so why not get all three?!

All comments are appreciated. Happy Hunting!
