THE CACHE IS NOT UNDER THE COORDINATES GIVEN! YOU NEED TO WORK OUT THE FINAL LOCATION USING THE HINTS BELOW. IT IS ALSO NECESSARY TO VISIT THE OLSINKY WATERFALL TO BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE QUEST FOR THE CACHE SUCCESSFULLY.

INITIAL STAGE> HOW TO GET TO/ SEE THE OLSINKY WATERFALL

The Olsinky waterfall is the most aqueous waterfall in the Usti area. Situated on the Kojeticky stream, it can be found at the uppermost end of Olsinky village, behind a one-time mill, now house No.1. Above the waterfall, there's a cascading dam reservoir. The water runs through a ravine into a rocky cove above the mill, then falls over a basalt threshold.

Parameters:

Height: 10m(some sources say 7m)
Flow rate: 40 l/s
Potency: 280 m*l/s
Altitude: 190-197 m n. m.
Geologic base: basalt

The best way to approach the waterfall is from Olsinky (parking in the village; or bus line 13 from Usti, stop Olsinky). Follow the blue trail, starting at the waypoint S1. Leave the blue at the first crossroads and turn up to the right, still following the road (the blue goes on straight into the woods). The coordinates might not be absolutely accurate (given the bad signal in the valley), but they should lead you safely to the location. Alternatively, you can follow the yellow tourist trail, also from the waypoint S1. However, it will not bring you close to the waterfall. Descending the steep right slope down from the yellow would be rather risky. Unfortunately, there's no way how to get to the foot of the waterfall. The direct way is closed off by private property, which is also the left bank of the stream below the waterfall. We would not recommend wading through the stream or even trying the right side, which is a rock wall. Please, MIND YOUR OWN SAFETY, IT'S NOT NECESSARY TO RISK. The same applies to the final stage. The shortest way is not always the best.

FINAL STAGE> THE READING ROOM

CACHE DIMENSIONS> The cache is a plastic container, approx 20L in volume. It can contain around 30 books, depending on their size. As we did, we hope you will also find the location a very pleasant, natural reading room indeed!

ENVIRONMENT> In accordance with the principles and philosophy of geocaching, please, be mindful of the flora and fauna of the area and do your utmost to prevent disturbing wildlife and preserving nature.

RETRIEVING THE CACHE> It took some effort to establish this cache. If you discover it, please, do your best to put everything in its original place and mask the place properly, so it can bring joy to other geocachers who will come after you. A good strategy is trying to remember the set up of things before uncovering the cache. It will be easy then to put everything back as it was, and thus prevent compromising the hiding place. Thank you!

HOW TO WORK OUT THE FINAL COORDINATES>

Please follow this formula:

N 50°AB.CDE

E 014°FG.HIJ

A. ' If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew

To serve your turn long after they are gone,

And so hold on when there is nothing in you

Except the will which says to them: “Hold on!” '

Upon reading this, you should think of ONE word that also forms “the basis” of certain English grammar points. These points have a number in their names. A is the highest number.

B. Ezra Pound made A Pact with ......... , who hoped to 'cease not till death'. B is the number of the quoted line.

C. “Great Chicago glowed red before our eyes. We were suddenly on Madison Street among hordes of hobos, some of them sprawled out on the street with their feet on the curb, hundreds of others milling in the doorways of saloons and alleys.” This is a chapter excerpt, C is the second digit of that chapter.

D. In his profession, Morris Zapp specialized in a person. You obtain D if you find out how many sisters this person had.

E. Of Bradbury’s beloved Eternal Family, how many felt the burden of a beating heart?

F. Mr Wormold’s daughter is going to be …....years old on the ….. (day). Subtract the two numbers and you will get F.

G. To determine G, you need to visit Olsinky waterfall and count how many times does the water fall there.

H. Morgan Le Fay cast a spell over the sleeping Lancelot and then held him prisoner in the dungeon of her castle. She and “how many” other fairy queens would not free him until he chose one of them as his mistress? The answer to “how many?” is H.

I. Prince Prospero’s castellated abbey had several elaborately furnished chambers. Which of these chambers was adorned with purple ornaments and tapestries, with panes of purple?

J. ' Love is not love

Which alters when it alteration finds,

Or bends with the remover to remove:

O no, it is an ever-fixed mark

That looks on tempests and is never shaken '

Again, the reader should think of numbers. By adding them up you get J.
