Valleyview Park - Calgary Parks 100 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

the urban hiker: Thanks again to Adronicus for letting me adopt this one. I have archived this listing but to keep it's spirit alive please look for The "New" Valleyview Park-Calgary Parks 100. Instead of a traditional cache it is now a small little puzzle cache. Happy caching!

Calgary Parks 100 Project
Calgary Area Cachers teaming up with The City of Calgary Parks
Celebrating Calgary Parks 100th Anniversary!

Welcome to Valleyview Regional Park. This cache was originally placed by Adronicus for the Calgary Parks 100 Project. After being re-hidden to reduce pedestrian damage and then after a Muggling it has been adopted and now re-cached. You can access the VRP by 26th St. SE or 28th St. SE.

You will be looking for a good sized lock 'n' lock. This can be a very busy park so please use some stealth when looking for the cache. In order to get to the GZ you must travel the paths through this lovely park and answer these three questions:
A. At the north end of the park is a circular patio area, how many benches are in this circle?
B. How many sections is the baseball diamond backstop divided into?
C. In the Splash Park, which rule decrees that "No dogs are permitted in the facility"?
Now just insert the answers into the corresponding spots in this cache sentence: N51 01.ABC W113 59.761
This will you take you to the cache location but you will still have to muck around a bit. It is not too hard but it does need to be well hidden.

Valleyview park is truly a gem. Located at 28th St. and 30 Ave. SE, it is an ideal day getaway for Calgarians. The park boasts picnic areas, beach volleyball courts (which has lovely scenery for both men and women in the summer), a baseball diamond, 2 soccer pitches, a water park as well as natural areas and engineered wetlands. Long time Dover resident George Trotter in partnership with Parks Foundation Calgary and the City of Calgary, raised the $5,000,000 needed to create this incredible family park. Valleyview Regional Park was opened in 2003.

The Calgary Parks 100 Project is a partnership between the City of Calgary Parks, and the Calgary Area Cachers to celebrate Calgary Parks 100th anniversary. Calgary Parks supplied cache containers and swag for 100 caches and these 100 caches were placed in 100 parks around Calgary.
