Geocache Description:

Congratulations to 4Ceasons (then LeonaC) on an epic FTF!

Getting there is most of the fun, or work, depending on your point of view. The cache is near a beautiful waterfall, and it is possible to follow a river to get there. Cache is a cammo'd baking soda container. Not necessarily a good place to visit during deer season (late Oct - early Dec).

Update - Fall 2011 - better approach is to go to little river falls first. LeonaC/4CeasonS identified this route and indeed it is nicer. Parking waypoint is now at trailhead to little river falls, and a crucial turnoff to the trail to little river falls is also a waypoint. Once @ little river falls, you have to go overland (up and down on east side of little river) to get to Gaspereau river, then the rest is pretty easy going.

Previous approaches travelling due West from Sunken Lake Rd. involved "an insane amount of bushwacking."

The cache itself is near a waterfall that's close to the Gaspereau River. The waterfall is a stream that runs out of Sunken Lake, and feeds into the Gaspereau River.

Retrieving the cache may be a little hairy, but no harder than getting to the cache site. Alternate final coordinate waypoint was taken in 2011, and could be more accurate. Did I mention there are tons of bugs in the summer and the snow can be a metre deep in the winter?
