Los Géiseres del Tatio --- El Tatio Geyser Field
El Tatio es un campo geotérmico (géiser) ubicado en la Cordillera de los Andes al norte de Chile, cerca del Desierto de Atacama y el pueblo San Pedro de Atacama.
El Tatio es el géiser más alto del mundo (4.280 mts de altura) y el campo de géiser más grande en el hemisferio sur y el tercer campo más grande en el mundo, después de Yellowstone (EE. UU) y de Dolina Giezerov (Rusia).
El Tatio contiene aproximadamente el 8 % de los géiseres del mundo.
La erupción más alta observada ha estado alrededor de seis metros en la altura.
Durante las temperaturas más frías (-20 grados centígrados), temprano en la mañana antes de salida del sol,
presenta una impresionante actividad de fumarolas de vapor producidas por las altas temperaturas de sus acuosos cráteres.

The highest observed eruption has been about six meter in the height.
During the coldest temperatures (-20 degrees centigrade), in the morning early hours
presents an impressive steam fumaroles activity produced by the high temperatures of its watery craters.
