Geocache Description:

This is the third in a series of geocaches that will highlight historical landmarks and interesting places in Goleta.

This park (open from 8:00 AM to Sunset) has a little bit of everything for just about anybody. The park is extremely popular and is the most heavily-used park in the Goleta Park system. Besides the sandy beach and the fishing pier, there are plenty of grills and picnic tables. Bike paths lead to the park, and city buses stop here. The parking is free. A restaurant and snack bar, volleyball nets, restrooms, and large areas for group picnics provide plenty of amenities. Another treat the park offers is an abundance of geocaches.

This geocache is located along the 1500 foot pier, which is open 24 hours per day, in a small tupperware container with a pencil, log, and maybe a pathtag. The cache is located in a safe area not near any machinery and electrical. Please take the time to replace the cache container exactly as found so as not to make it too easy for the muggles.

Beware of bird poop. Suggest bringing vinyl gloves and/or hand wipes. Sorry for any inconvenience.
