The new location is close to the previous location but is a little harder to get to. Therefor, I have increased the overall difficulty rating and the terrain rating to reflect that. With this increase in difficulty I would have to rate this cache as not kid friendly unless they are supervised very carefully.
There are fantastic views and other interesting things, such as a plane crash site, nearby. If you come between November and April, be sure to keep an eye out for whales. There are also a couple of other caches and several benchmarks in the area so come and make a day of it. For further information on the history of this area and the lighthouse visit this page.
The walk to the cache is mostly on an old paved road which is steep in some locations but is a fairly easy hike of about 2.5 miles round trip. However, the last 100 yards or so to the cache is steep rocky terrain which can be difficult for some people. It is usually hot so bring plenty of water, a hat and sunscreen.
