Better to Car Pool than to Carpal
After 29 years of typing, the carpal tunnel has begun to take on Bob's right hand. He waits at the counter for the clerk to figure up the total for a 5-minute consult with the orthopaedic, following an hour-long wait in a lobby full of elevator music, crying babies, and 6-month old copies of Sports Illustrated and Good Housekeeping. It has been a long morning, that's for sure. The clerk finally stops punching away at her terminal and looks up with a big smile, "After the insurance, your portion will be $250." "Great," he grumbles as he begins to fill out check number 1727988 with the total. Just holding the pen hurts. Next, he's off to the pharmacy to fill the prescription. After another half-hour wait, he is finally called to the register. The pharmacist taps away for a few seconds. "That will be 65 dollars." Finally done with his errands, he reviews the exercise script that the Doc gave him to work on. If only he could figure out some way to get out for some Geocaching instead...
