There are several ways to get to this cache, but being a hiker I perfered to make my way up to it from Big Mountain Pass. This is about a 5 mile hike with beautiful views all around.
If you hike the Great Western Trail in this area, there are several caches and spots that you want to be sure to see. One of these is Swallow Rocks. While you are in the area, make the extra effort to come up and see what is on the other side of the mountain. The View Above the Swallows is spectacular!
The best approach is to hike up to Swallow Rock, go around it (on the right side), and follow the ridge line to the cache site.
