This is the third cache is a series me and jthewlett are trying to grow of old football grounds.
The previous to are for Queen's Street and Town Mead in Horsham and Crawley and now I have added Joseph's Road.
The cache is place on what used to be the edge of the old football ground with the new houses in the area being where the pitch was. The club house is still standing and is the current HQ of the Guildford City team that play at the Spectrum.
The cache is intended to be an easy cache and to provide a bit of history for the area. But please exercise stealth when retrieving this as the area does not provide much cover.
Joseph's Road was home to Guildford City FC from 1921 when the club were accepted into the southern league until 1974 when they merged with Dorking and started playing at Meadowbank.
