Our second series takes you from Amersham to Little Missenden and back by an alternative route. If you do the whole circuit (around five miles long), you can park at Dovecot Carpark in the Old Town at N 51°39.967 W 000°36.800. Caches 1-3 can be visited with a sturdy off-road baby buggy, after that it gets steep. Bring a map if you intend to do the whole circuit (you can't really get lost doing 1-3, but after that, you'll be better off knowing where the footpaths are).
You are looking for a magnetic nano. Please be careful when you retrieve it -if you drop it, it'll be gone forever. We placed this cache by walking up from Little Missenden. If you've followed the circuit in reverse, you may be continuing your walk from Shardeloes. Either way, you'll see some lovely blue bell woods in the spring. Mop End is also signposted off the A404, in which case you can drive right up to the cache but we don't think that's anything like so much fun.
