Pustki Multi-Cache

W miejscowości Łużna na stokach góry Pustki znajduje się największy w Galicji Zachodniej cmentarz z IWS. Jego powierzchnia to ok. 3 ha. Cmentarz został zaprojektowany przez Jana Szczepkowskiego. Pochowanych jest tu 909 żołnierzy austro-węgierskich, 65 niemieckich i 212 rosyjskich. Zespoły grobów podzielone są wg. armii, jednostek czy nawet rodzaju broni. W obrębie każdej z tych kwater znajduje sie osobny poświęcony tej grupie żołnierzy pomnik. W dolnej, frontowej części cmentarza znajdują się kwatery żołnierzy armii rosyjskiej, niemieckiej i austro-węgierskiej. W jego górnej części znajdują się pola grobowe, na których pochowani są żołnierze z poszczególnych pułków, w tym kilku, gdzie największy udział mieli Polacy. W pobliżu kwater węgierskich znajdują się dwa ciekawe pomniki zwieńczone koronami. Znajduje się tam także drewniany kopijnik z tablica pamiątkowa poświęcona poległym Węgrom ustawiony pod koniec XX w. Ponadto na cmentarzu znajdują się osobne kwatery saperów, artylerzystów i oficerów. W sumie na cmentarzu znajduje się kilkanaście rożnych pomników. Poszczególne kwatery połączone SA wijącymi się po stoku ścieżkami. W tylnej, najwyższej części cmentarza znajdowała się kiedyś piękna drewniana kaplica autorstwa Dušana Jurkovica, niestety splunęła w niewyjaśnionych okolicznościach w 1985 r., tak ze obecnie pozostały z niej tylko zarastające kamienne ruiny jej podstawy. Na uwagę zasługują także kamienne głowy antycznych wojowników umieszczone po obu stronach bramy prowadzącej na cmentarz. Obecnie jednak brama nie pełni swej pierwotnej funkcji, gdyż tuz przed nią znajduje się prywatny teren, wejście na cmentarz znajduje się z jego boku.

In village Luzna, on a slope of the Pustki mount there is the largest cemetery from WWI in the Western Galicia. Its area is about 3 ha. The cemetery was designed by Jan Szczepkowski. 909 Austro-Hungarian soldiers, 65 German and 212 Russian are buried there. Groups of graves are separated by army, unit and type of weapon. In all of these groups there are dedicated memorials for these soldiers. In the front, lower part of the cemetery there are graves of Russian, German and Austro-Hungarian army soldiers. In its upper part there are graves where soldiers separated by regiments are buried. Many Poles are buried in these graves. Near Hungarian graves there are two interesting memorials with crowns on their tops. There is also a wooden, carved, traditional Hungarian pole called "kopijnik" placed there in the end of 20. century with a memorable plaque commemorating the fallen Hungarians. There are also separated groups of graves with sappers, artillerists and officers, as well as several different memorials on this cemetery. Groups of graves are connected with the paths meandering the slope. In the rear, in the highest part of the cemetery there used to be a beautiful, wooden shrine designed by Dušan Jurkovic; unfortunately it was burned in 1985 at unexplained circumstances. Presently, only overgrown ruins of a stone basement are left. Remarkable stone heads in ancient helmets on both sides of the main gate decorate the cemetery. Presently, the gate in fact is not in use because it is just in front of a private ground and an entrance to the cemetery is from its side.
