L'accès à la cache (1929 m) ne présente aucune difficulté par temps dégagé et sans neige. Le paysage est une pelouse alpine qui domine des forêts de hêtre et de sapin. Très jolie vue sur la chaîne des Pyrénées vers le sud et sur le Plateau de Sault au nord-est. L'accès peut se faire par le col de Marmare et le Rocher de Scaramus (compter 2h) ou par la route d'accès à la carrière de talc de Luzenac (prendre à droite juste avant le parking, contourner par le Nord la forêt de Salvanière, passer près de la Jasse de la Teste et suivre la crête jusqu'au sommet), compter 1h15. La cache se trouve à une trentaine de mètres au sud / sud-est de la borne géodésique et de son trièdre de pierres, derrière un second cairn, au niveau d'une dalle calcaire. La borne géodésique porte les inscriptions "IGN" et "1949" gravées sur 2 de ses faces. La première cache a été volée ou détruite par les individus qui ont érigé le second cairn. La cache contient de petits jouets (ballon, scoubidou, petite voiture) et un mini dossier de cartographie illustrant l'évolution des technologies cartographiques, depuis la carte de Cassini (environ 1786), la carte d'Etat-Major (vers 1900), la carte IGN au 1/100.000 et la base de données géodésiques de l'IGN.

The access to the cache is very easy when the weather is clear and without snow. The landscape is an alpin lawn above fir tree and beech forests. Very nice view on the Pyrenees monts, southward, and on Plateau de Sault north-eastward. The cache place can be reached by the Marmare Pass and the Scaramus Rock (about 2 hours walking) or by the road to the Luzenac talc quarry (stop just before the parking, go to the right, skirt the Salvanière forest, pass close to the hut called Jasse de la Teste and follow the round back of the mountain until to the top). About 75 minutes.
The cache is hiden at about 30 m south-southeast the IGN geodetic mark n° 0923201 and its stone trihedron,behind another stone trihedron, under a calcareous flat stone. On the geodetic mark "IGN" and "1949" are carved. The first cache has been stolen or destroyed by the men who erected the new trihedron. On the cache box there are small toys (balloon, scoubidou, small car), a logbook, and a mini-folder showing progress in mapping technologies, from the Cassini map (around 1786), the french military map (about 1900), the 1/100.000 IGN topo maps, to the IGN geodetic database.
