Posród pól we wsi Bren znajduje sie porosniety drzewami obszar o charakterystycznym pieciokatnym ksztalcie. Sa to pozostalosci szwedzkich umocnien noszacy nazwe Okopów Szwedzkich. Obiekt powstal prawdopodobnie w XVII w. Prócz zarysów fortyfikacji w jednym z jego narozników zachowaly sie murowane podziemia. Nie sa one duze i mozna je zwiedzac bez latarki. Prawdopodobnie takich podziemi bylo na terenie fortyfikacji wiecej, zostaly one jednak zasypane. Na terenie obiektu mozna natknac sie na slady przekopywania terenu, co jest wynikiem krazacych legend o ukrytym tam skarbie. Fortyfikacje otoczone sa fosa wypelniona woda, tak wiec mozesz byc prawie pewien, ze zostaniesz znaleziony przez chmare wyglodnialych komarów...

Swedish Trenches:
Among the fields in the village of Bren there is an interesting area overgrown with trees. Its shape resembles a rounded pentagram. These are the remains of the Swedish fortifications called Okopy Szwedzkie (Swedish Trenches). The structure was probably built in 17. century. What is preserved (apart from the general shape of the fortifications) is a brick cellar in one of corners. The cellar is not large, so you can visit it without a torch. Possibly there were more similar cellars over there but they got buried. You can also find traces of people digging into the ground - these would be treasure hunters hooked on the local legends about a treasure hidden there. The fortifications are surrounded by a moat with water so you are almost bound to be found by lots of mosquitoes...
