Beschreibung
Bei N51°21.821 E007°08.335 könnt Ihr parken.
Jeder, der sich schonmal einen Vorgeschmack auf das holen möchte, was ihn bei unserem Cache "Der Weg Ist Das Ziel" (GC1Y3NV) erwartet, und alle, denen die Runde im Sauerland bereits gefallen hat, werden bei diesem Wander- oder Mountainbike-Multi (je nach Belieben) voll auf ihre Kosten kommen. Die Tour hat eine Gesamtlänge von etwa 22km und es sind rund 850 Höhenmeter zu bewältigen.
Der Weg führt von Oberbonsfeld (bei Nierenhof) hinauf zum Höhenweg und diesen zunächst ein wenig entlang. Nachdem es dann hinab ins westlich gelegene Tal gegangen ist, verläuft die Strecke weiter durch den Wald bergauf nach Oberelfringhausen, wo der Marker Weg überquert wird und es entlang der Fahrentrappe wieder bergab geht. Von dort führt die Runde durch den Wald zunächst leicht, später dann steil bergauf bis zur Windkraftanlage nahe des Bergerhofes. Weiter in westlicher Richtung verläuft ein Waldpfad über den Bergkamm, der eine Aussicht bietet, die in unseren Augen eines der Highlights dieser Runde ist. Danach geht es (teilweise steil) bergab durch den Wald bis die Elfringhauser Straße erreicht ist. Von dort nochmal bergauf und durch den Wald weiter bis zur Felderbachbrücke. Nachdem diese und die Felderbachstraße überquert sind, folgt der Rückweg zum Parkplatz. Leider ließ es sich nicht vermeiden, daß knapp 800m der Runde auf dem Hin- und Rückweg identisch verlaufen. Langweilig dürften diese Abschnitte deshalb aber trotzdem nicht werden.
Obwohl es anhand der Beschreibung eigentlich klar sein sollte weisen wir ausdrücklich darauf hin, daß man sowohl als Wanderer als auch als Radfahrer einiges an Kondition mitbringen muß. Insbesondere für Radfahrer gilt, daß viele der Wege ausschließlich mit Mountainbikes oder ähnlich geländegängigen Fahrrädern zu meistern sind. Bitte fahrt nur, wenn Ihr Eure Räder beherrscht und über entsprechendes Können verfügt. Wenn man mal für ein paar Meter absteigen muß, ist das auch keine Schande. Immerhin ist der Weg das Ziel.
Die Koordinaten der Stationen werden aufgrund des recht dichten Waldes zuweilen etwas ungenau sein. Dennoch dürfte man sie problemlos finden können. Es muß nichts gesucht sondern nur Zahlen abgelesen bzw. Werte durch Zählen ermittelt werden.
Weil bei diesem Cache, wie der Name schon sagt, der Weg das Ziel ist, stellen wir Euch die gesamte Runde inklusive Waypoints optional als GPS-Tracks zur Verfügung, was die Planung des Ausflugs vereinfachen dürfte.

Description
At N51°21.821 E007°08.335 you may park your car.
Everyone who wants to get a foretaste of what awaits them at our cache "Der Weg Ist Das Ziel" (GC1Y3NV), and everyone who already enjoyed that trip in the Sauerland, will get their money's worth with this hiking- or mountainbike-multi (just as desired). The trip has an overall length of about 22km (13.5mi) and there are ca. 850m in altitude to overcome. Unfortunately it could not be avoided that about 800m of this trip are identical on the way there and back. Nevertheless, this shouldn't make those parts boring.
Even though this should be clear, we would explicitly like to point out that as a hiker as well as a cyclist you will have to bring a lot of stamina. Especially cyclist should realize that many of the paths can only be mastered with a mountainbike or an equally off-road capable bike. Please cycle only if you know how to handle your bike. If you have to unmount for a couple of meters from time to time, that's no shame. Afterall, the journey is the reward.
Because of the partially quite thick forest, the stages' coordinates might be a bit inaccurate. Nevertheless, there shouldn't be any problem to identify them. Nothing has to be searched. You just have to find numbers or get values by counting something.
Since with this cache, as the title points out, the journey is the reward, we optionally offer you the whole route including waypoints as GPS-tracks, which might make planning the trip a bit easier.
