wollepakchong: Due to multiple muggling and the creation of a new Earth Cache in the exact position of this one I disable this listing. Thanks for all the nice comments about the location, which is still one of my favorite places in Phuket. Whenever you are looking for a place for a relaxed day on the beach, this is where you should go.

Geocache Description:

Banana Beach is a little gem on Phuket Island. It is quite
unknown and there are only a few sun-seekers around.

The beauty of the place makes it well worth a visit. During the high season there is a small restaurant or better call it stall, selling food and drinks. During the rest of the year you are responsible for your supplies. The place is located about in the middle between Kamala and the airport, and you can go there by car or motorbike. Ride along the road 4018, at kilometer 6 is the right place to stop and begin your walk. There is a small trail down to the beach. Start your hunt at the northern end of the beach. During the low season the trail down on the photo may be closed. Just follow the road from the kilometer stone a few hundred meters north to the next bridge. There is a lot of space to park your vehicle and you just have to follow the little creek, which takes you to the north end of Banana Beach. Please keep the beach clean. Thank you! Later, I suggest you follow the road north to Nai Thon Beach, another nice place to hang out, and there are some guesthouses and restaurants as well. Download a video taken from the location here.
