King Boreas has challenged the Minnesota community of geocachers with a wide variety of geocaching responsibilities. This cache is a response to one of those caches: Minnesota Challenge: Confluence Caching Made Easy (GC1CYG2). For that challenge, a cacher must find a cache near every primary degree confluence in Minnesota before logging a find. Sure, that's great if you travel around the state of Minnesota a lot, but what if you just moved here, or are passing through the area? That's where this cache comes into play.
In order to log a find on this cache, you must send me a special file:
1. Pick a state. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Georgia--whatever. Oh heck, pick a Canadian province if you want.
2. For each primary degree confluence in that state, find a cache within 1/2 mile of the confluence. Any type of cache is acceptable. A primary convergence is where exact degrees of latitude and longitude meet. For example, N 45 00.000 W 093 00.000 is located in North St. Paul.
3. Send me a file showing the state, cache names, numbers, and find dates. Once I have received and validated that file, I will acknowledge that you may seek this cache.
Now, if you are a newcomer to Minnesota, but have visited every corner of Tennessee or New Mexico, you've got a chance to be recognized for your achievements.
Any logs or bookmarks posted which are deemed to be spoilers will be asked to be removed.
