A series of 5 micro caches set over about a mile in the pleasant surroundings of St Johns Lye. Bring your own writing implement please.
Please note that on 6/6/10 I had to admit defeat with trying to re-locate number 4 of the original 6 caches, so just re-numbered the series 1 to 5.
St. Johns Village centre is dominated by its relationship with the Lye and the adjacent Basingstoke Canal. In this respect the village has retained a strong semi rural character with many of its older properties facing directly onto the Lye and the open space surrounding the church, in a traditional ‘village green’ arrangement.
There is a kids playground here, and if you follow the sound of the trains up to the bridge you can stand and wave at train drivers as the carriages hurtle beneath your feet. If you're brave enough that is!
No. 1 is a bullet micro cache.
