The water reservoir is an artificial lake in the area of Messaria close to the village of Zipari in the municipality of Dikaio.
There is a sign post Waterdam Messarias (blue) and Ag.Georgios/Mavrokampia (brown) on the main road.
It’s a good idea to leave what ever cache mobile you use at
N 36° 52.038 E 27° 13.476. (There is space next to the road.)
and walk down the sand road following the signpost to Agios Konstantinos, a small church in the fields. Instead of turning right to the church by crossing a small river, that might dry up in summer, follow the main road to the left. On the last few hundred meters a pipe system leads the water of the river to a lake that provides the area of Zipari with drinkable water. The old riverbed is surrounded by lots of trees, most of them plant trees. After a ten minutes walk you reach the waterreservoir. It should be filled by beginning of summer, but sometimes the winters are too dry.
