chamado Cruzeiro da Virgem, em Válega, no concelho de Ovar, segundo
reza a lenda, Nossa Senhora de Entráguas terá concedido, no ano de
1673, o dom da fala a uma jovem pastora muda que se encontrava em
apuros, como comprova a inscrição “1673 – Nossa Senhora
Dentre Agoas aqui deu fallas a húa moça” que pode ler-se na
base do cruzeiro de três degraus, situado a Norte da capela da
Senhora de Entráguas. O milagre permitiu-lhe chamar por socorro e
afastar um grupo de caçadores que a queriam molestar.
Este é
apenas um exemplo do enorme e rico património cultural, religioso e
arquitectónico vareiro, que testemunha um conjunto de vivências
antigas muito diversas onde se cruzam pescadores, agricultores,
comerciantes e artesãos no concelho. No quadro deste valioso
património, as lendas de cariz religioso, algumas delas associadas
a romarias com largas tradições, assumem papel de
relevo.
