What do you do in the winter? A commonly asked question when you live on an island... Answer: The same things you do... That also includes solving Geocache Puzzles.
One of the ways I’ve solved puzzle caches in the winter is to group them together into what looks like theme categories. Sometimes it may help to solve another puzzle when you work on the group as a whole. Needless to say, sometimes when you start work on these groups, you discover interesting methods for solving. This cache is an offshoot of that.
While working on Shortcut This Puzzle!!! (GC1M2JB) by ks9wi and Then Shortcut This Too! (II?) (GC1PJAK) by Bartrod, I discovered not only two different methods for a solve by two different individuals, but what I believe is the “correct” way to solve these puzzles. My wife agreed with me that this was the correct way to solve the answer and I’m not going to disagree...
Another feature of this puzzle I hope you enjoy, is the fact that after you solve the puzzle, you won’t be off on a trip to find a nano, film canister or some other small cache to sign a basic log at the end of a road or some other nondescript location. This Puzzle is going to bring you northeast of Green Bay all the way to Washington Island, if you want to locate the treasure after you solve the puzzle.
You will need to board a ferry at Northport Pier, travel to the island (car or bike), and hike in to the hiding site, about 1/4 of a mile off the road. Please respect the adjacent property owners’ rights and stay on the trails. While on the Island, enjoy the wonderful beaches, sites, and venues it offers and search out some of the other numerous caches.
When you have solved the puzzle and acquired the coordinates, you’re off on the journey to find the “treasure chest” (ammo box) loaded with valuable objects (swag), plus some unusual goodies.
