The cache is located a fair way into some woods at the back of the church in Fringford. It is not meant to be that easy, or a cache-and-dash as there are already quite a few of these in and around the village. This is meant to be a little more challenging! The co-ords should lead to to a large fallen tree.
Suggested parking is toward the end of Main Street, under the tree by the Church gate, opposite the Lodge at N:51deg 57.426; W:1deg 7.103
Dogs welcome on leads. There is a dog-poop bin on the footpath to the left of the Church gate. Walk along this footpath, or through the Churchyard and around the Church to the left. Follow the path to and through a blue metal gate. The entrance to the woods is a few steps further on to the right.
You are looking for a small snap container containing logbook, pencil and the usual trinkets.
These woods are often used by children building rope swings, dens etc. The terrain is generally dry, and there are generally paths or trails through the wood so it isn't necessary to forge a new path. The co-ordinates may point to where the cache is hidden, but the path there does not take a direct line! If you come across a body of stagnant water on your way to the cache, keep it to your right-hand side. You may have to step over/under fallen branches. You may want to mark the entrance to the woods so you don't become disorientated - or look out for the Church on your way out and work your way towards it. The woods contain lots of wildlife including monkjack deer.
