Stepnice - Nursery garden Traditional Geocache

Radi bychom vas pozvali do Stepnice – beznymi navstevniky Ceskeho Krumlova opomijene, ale velmi puvabne casti zamecke zahrady.

Zamecka zahrada byla zalozena za panovani posledniho z ceskokrumlovskych knizat z Eggenberku, Jana Kristiana. Knize Jan Kristian I. z Eggenberku po snatku s Marii Arnostkou ze Schwarzenberku v roce 1666 prikrocil k rozsahle prestavbe stareho rozmberskeho zamku na pohodlne slechticke sidlo v duchu sve doby, jehoz nedilnou soucasti byla i barokni zahrada. V letech 1678 az 1683 byl nerovny teren na navrsi nad zamkem vyrovnan do teras, postaveny ohradni zdi po obvodu zahrady a zrizen zamecky rybnik.

Nejnize polozena zahradni terasa, Stepnice, slouzila puvodne jako soukroma zahrada pro knizeci rodinu a oznacovala se jako tzv. Kralovska zahrada. Jiz od roku 1686 byla preklenuta spojovaci chodbou, ktera zacina v zapadnim kridle Horniho hradu a usti na druhe zahradni terase - tzv. Letni jizdarne.

V poslednich letech je mozne si prostor Stepnice pronajmout na svatby nebo jine oslavy pod sirym nebem.

Nejkrasneji je tu ovsem v lete brzy po ranu, kdyz slunicko vstava

vrele doporucujeme i naslednou prochazku tichym zamkem a mestem!

Uzijte si zdejsi klid a mir a pamatujte na to, ze pri hledani kesky neni treba nikde hrabat, nikam splhat, ani nic rozebirat. Staci zapojit geoinstinkt a je to ;-)

We´d like to invite you to Nursery garden– the lovely, but usually left out part of Cesky Krumlov castle garden. The castle garden was founded under the reign of the last Eggenberg prince of Cesky Krumlov, Johann Christian I. von Eggenberg. Prince Johann Christian, after his marriage to Marie Ernestine von Eggenberg in 1666 undertook an extensive reconstruction of the former Rosenberg castle into a comfortable aristocratic seat which reflected the spirit of the ages, and the baroque garden was inseparable part of it. From 1678 till 1683 the uneven terrain on the hill above the castle was levelled into terraces, walls were built around the periphery of the garden, and a castle lake was dug. The lowest terrace of the Gardens, Nursery garden, initially served as a private garden for the princely family and was marked as the "Royal Garden". From 1686 it has been spanned by a connecting corridor which begins in the western wing of the Upper Castle and ends in the terrace one level higher, at the Summer Riding Garden.
