Dolní Kounice jsou starobylé mestecko rozkládající se v údolí Jihlavy. První písemné zmínky o Dolních Kounicích pochází z 11. století, v poslední ctvrtine 13. století se Kounice z vesnice mení na mesto.
Dolní Kounice jsou známou vinarskou a ovocnárskou oblastí. Ve meste mužete najít mnoho krásných historických památek – krížovou cestu a kapli sv. Antonína, židovskou synagogu a židovský hrbitov, renesancní a barokní meštanské domy a predevším romantickou zríceninu kláštera Rosa coeli (Nebeská ruže) a puvodne gotický hrad, nyní zámek Dolní Kounice.
Premonstrátský klášter Rosa coeli založil v roce 1181 Vilém z Pulína z rodu Kounicu a jedná se o nejstarší ženský klášter na Morave. Pevný gotický hrad byl na obranu kláštera a svetského majetku vybudován na prelomu 13. a 14. stol. Hrad údajne nebyl nikdy zcela dobyt.

Ke keši:
Ke keši se nejlépe dostanete pešinkou od waypointu Parkovište. Dávejte pozor, terén je skalnatý, v zime a po dešti muže klouzat, na kocárek to tedy není. Kdo bude chtít maximum hvezdicek za terén, muže to zkusit prímo za šipkou kolmo ze silnice :-)
Keš je velikosti small, obsahuje logbook, tužku a orezávátko. Nalezení je jednoduché, geozrejmé. Místo uložení je navštevované výletníky ci zaláskovanými mudlopárecky, budte tedy obezretní a také dávejte pozor na své rybízky at nespadnou.

This cache will drive you to very nice place with gorgeous view-point to Dolni Kounice and the most important landmarks of the town.
The small ancient town Dolni Kounice is situated in the valley of the Jihlava river. The first written mention of Dolni Kounice is dated back to the 11th century. In the last part of 13th century the village Dolni Kounice has been changed to the town.
Dolni Kounice is the well-known area for planting the wine and fruits. You can see many amazing historical landmarks in the town too – the way of the Cross, Saint Anthon chapel, the Jewish synagogue and cemetery, the renaissance and baroque citizen houses, but specially the romantic ruins of the monastery Rosa coeli (Haven rose) and the gothic castle.
The Premonstratensian monastery was established by Vilém from Pulín in 1181 and it is the oldest woman monastery in Moravia. The gothic stronghold was built at the turn of 13th and 14th century to defend the monastery and the profane goods. The stronghold has never been captured.

About the Cache:
The cache is better accessible up the path from the waypoint Parking place. Pay attention for your children, the terrain is rocky and it could get slide during the winter or after the rain. The cache size is “small” and it contains the logbook, the pencil and the sharpener. It is very easy to find the cache, but be careful; this place is frequented by the muddles and snoopy couples.
