Vom Hohen Opferplatz hat man einen fantastischen Aus- und Überblick über die Felsenstadt der Nabatäer PETRA.
From the High Place you have a wonderful view over the whole valley of Petra
Über den offiziellen Zugang in die Felsenstadt der Nabatäer gelangt man zunächst durch eine enge Schlucht zum Schatzhaus, dem wohl bekanntesten Motiv aus Petra. Folgt man der Fassadenstraße und biegt dann auf den Weg links zum Hohen Opferplatz, so sind zahlreiche Stufen zu überwinden. Doch der Aufstieg wird mit einem fantastischen Ausblick belohnt. Von hier oben erhält man eine Vorstellung von der gewaltigen Ausdehnung der antiken Stadt.
Auf der Ostseite des Hohen Opferplatzes in einer natürlichen, kleinen Erosionshöhle fand ich ein gute Versteck, dass ohne Schwierigkeiten erreicht werden kann.

After passing the entrace you approach through the sick in the rocks the worldwide wellknownTreasure House. Now follow the street leftside and go up the staircasese in the rocks. It´s a strong way, but onthe top you have a wonderful view of the valley .
At the eastside of the High Place I found a good hiddingplace in a small natural cavity, withineasy reach.
