How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the above coordinates, but it is close to where you will find it. To get the cache you will need to find CacheDuino Technology Tag. It will have the info on where to find the box.

The cache container is a puzzle box I have built. It has a locked lid. To log this cache you will need to figure out how to open the lid to sign the logbook inside. (you will need to take the cache with you to do this). To solve the puzzle you may also need the use of a computer and it may take 1 or more trips by car in the lower mainland.

Once you solve the puzzle and sign the log book you will need to return the cache container to where you got it from.

The place where you obtain the physical cache from is USUALLY open from 8:30am until 8:30pm.

Update Sept 2021 - I have replaced all the electronics, new Arduino, LCD which is easier to read in daylight, new wiring and new GPS.

To use, take the box outside and press the button - the Arduino computer will boot up and the LCD screen will tell you everything you need to know. You do not need to press the button to turn it off, it will do this by itself and is programmed to do so.

Note: to get hold of the physical cache container you need to find CacheDuino Technology Tag.

If CacheDuino breaks or doesn't work as you expect it too, please contact me so I can fix any issues.
