This cache has been archived.

Deceangi: Rather than keep this cache temporarily disabled (which should only be used for shortish periods) I'm archiving it. If/when the cache is ever replaced I'll gladly unarchive it assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Please Note! Six months from the date of the Listing being Archived, is the maximum period, in which this Listing will be eligible to be considered for Unarchiving

Please avoid geolitter by removing any remaining traces of your cache or contact a local cacher to do so for you. If you are having difficulty doing so then please contact me via my profile and I will try to get someone to assist. This is particularly important if your cache appears to contain Travelbugs or Geocoins.

Geocache Description:

This traditional cache is the first of five caches hidden on a trail around the villages of Sibford Gower and Sibford Ferris - lovely, quiet villages with some stunning scenery thrown in! The complete route clocks in at just under 2 miles in total.

Park either at the village pub, The Wykham Arms, if you intend to call in for some food or drink (highly recommended - closed on Mondays) or at the village hall car park, located close to this first cache. Worth popping in to the Holy Trinity church across the road too.

The terrain for the total trail is quite hilly but is suitable for children (we do it with our kids all the time) - however not buggy friendly due to some kissing gates and fields. If it is wet, wellies or walking boots are recommended for the off-road paths.

From the Village Hall car park, cross the road and head down the farm track along side the graveyard. From the Wykham Arms car park, turn right, right again at cross roads and head towards the church and the farm track along side the graveyard.

You may be helped by the farm cat. His name is Diesel and he may insist that you fuss him before he lets you find the cache!

Once you have located the cache, go through the kissing gate & follow the footpath signs across the fields to the lane and turn right - this will put you on course for the second cache.

900ml clip top box.
