LAT: 19. un 20. gadsimtu mija Krievijas cars Aleksandrs III izvelejas Liepajas ostu par vietu, kur veidot savu militaro bazi Baltijas jura. 5 gadu laika, ieguldot celtnieciba gandriz miljonu zelta rublu, te tika izveidota juras kara pilsetina ar visu nepieciešamo, lai varetu dzivot un karot liela flote. Tika uzcelta sv. Nikolaja katedrale, Virsnieku saieta nams, dzivojamie nami virsniekiem un vienkaršajiem jurniekiem, daudz noliktavu, forti, kas aizsargatu pilsetu pret uzbrukumiem. Laiki mainijas, bet kara pilsetina, kas tagad tiek saukta par Karostu palika un dzivo savu dzivi.
