Guiding light Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Marino Rocks Lighthouse

Built in 1962 and upgraded in 2005 it is, now sadly, fully automated.
Standing 128m amsl the light is surprisingly small, only 12 volt/100w or about the same as one of your car head lights and it rotates at one RPM. The reflector helps considerably and it is visible for forty five kms.
Back-up GPS used with approximate coordinates.
Mild walk and climb with great views. (Tempted to call it Billion dollar views, briefly)
FTF pin (won by TeamJaxx) and a Geocoin here, aimed at the NT.
