Geocache Description:

Off the A149 coast road that runs from Blakeney to Sheringham near to the villages of Kelling & Weybourne.

This cache was featured in October 2002 edition of Country Walking magazine and is the 66th oldest cache in the UK

If travelling by car suggest parking in the village of Kelling - teas & light snacks available at the Old Reading Room - then cross the A149 taking the new concessionary path that runs parallel to the road right up to Muckleburgh Hill N 52° 56.602 E 001° 07.323

The cache is on a circular route from the village towards the sea and shingle bank.

Please keep to the paths & do not cross the airfield or MOD land.

The cache is a small waterproof box which contains logbook and several items, please note that this cache is very prone to getting flooded so please ensure container is firmly closed and do not overfill as this will allow container seals to leak.

At cache site beware nettles, rabbit holes, toads, low flying aircraft - light and model, also maybe the odd old military vehicle.

Silent Sentinals - name given to WW2 defences ie Pillboxes, Gun Emplacements etc. WW2 Coastal Defences North Norfolk.
