In Reserve Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Chrispy&co: Had left this one in play after moving out of area, have just had it checked and it has gone, possibly floated out as the area was under water for a month. Not going to replace it. So time to say goodbye to this one.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located on a public footpath it is a small clip lock box, containing the usual swapsies.

To the South West of the cache large earthworks can be seen, this is a 100 X 100 Metre reservoir constructed to collect water for use on the crops grown locally.

At the time of placing the cache the reservoir is not yet completed.

During summer 2009, archaeology was carried out at the site. I have requested the information about the dig, but at the time of posting it is not yet available. When it becomes available I will update the information.

February 2012 Update, I have made a number of requests for the archaeology reports for the earthworks but at present they are still not available.

I have uploaded some pictures of the work from start to finish.
