Swimming with the Ferries Traditional Geocache
themaleman: The container has vanished, and I don’t get out that way often enough to replace/ maintain it.
If there were more interest I might try harder, but 1 person in the years it’s been there make it not quite worth the effort :p

I believe in caches which are hard to get to but easy to find. To commemorate my 50th find and first placed cache, I've hidden one in what will hopefully become a typical style d/t for my caches. this one will take some work!
this is a good loooong swim or short boat ride to get to. and then another bit of swimming (if you can carry a cinder block up from 25-30ft under the ocean) or possibly scuba to make things easier (float it up with your BCD). Watch out for currents as you get out there, the tide in and out of the bay gets fairly strong! please try to avoid opening it under water, the logbook is just a stack of post-it notes, and isn't waterproof...
I swam the weight for the cache out there, and tried a couple times bringing it up and down with no scuba equipment, so it can be done, but it might just be easier to dive for it....
it's a pretty place for a swim, I've seen seals, octopi, lingcod, rockfish, and other assorted creatures out here. hope you enjoy it!
take a photo or two!
a couple TBs, some toys and a keychain I brought back from cambodia for the FTF to pick from
