This is one of my usual hiking spots. This cache is located in Temescal Gateway Park which is a popular hiking spot in the Pacific Palisades. There are not many easy caches in the park and there ought to be. It should be fun for all ages. No need to rock scramble, dive in any bushes, of climb anything.
The cache itself is about the size of a film canister with only a log in it. Bring your own pen. The trail is dog friendly and pretty close the main parking.
This trail is usually crawling with muggles, especially on weekends. Get the cache fast before anybody sees you.
Parking is $7, however, if you park right outside the park near the high school, it's free and adds less than 1/2 a mile to your hike.
The park is dog friendly to a point. GZ is well within doggie limits.
**If you do drive in, STOP at the stop sign in the park. The photo camera will mail you a $50 ticket if you don't.
FTF gets the new, crisp $2 bill.
