Boots probably won't help on this one. Just practice your water-walking skills and your toes won't get wet. Of course, you could always time it right and walk in the mud.
You may need a special tool to retrieve and replace this cache! I strongly advise wearing rubber gloves and bringing a spare tethered container and log with you on this one folks due to pelican poo. Yea, pelican poo!
