The gorge is in place Linoperasmata, between Keri and Kastrokefala. An important attraction of the ruins 'Three Churches', a Catholic monastery, dating from the 14th century. The three churches in Almyros Gorge: The gorge Almyros known as the gorge of Keris or Porofarango. Also, it sounds as gorge of three churches because of the presence of three churches which are built in it and dating back to Venetian rule. The area of the three churches is in a relatively short distance from the eastern rim of the canyon.
The first church dedicated to Agia Paraskevi. It is dates from the end of the 14th century AD. In the north wall of the temple tombs full of bones found.
The second church is 130 meters northwest of the former. Two-aisled and is dedicated to Agia Marina and Agios Antonios. The two buildings are connected by two arches from west to east. Survived in relatively good condition are a few sections of wall paintings.
The three churches of the gorge is the reality two. It is obvious that in later times created confusion as to the number of churches, because most two-aisled church was considered as two different churches.
The cache is located at the edge of the gorge. If you come from the east side you have to cross the gorge. It is an easy walk 45 minutes. If you start from the west side the cache is just before the gorge.
