This cache is a part of a series of caches that I call ”Osby part of my youth” which will show you a few spots in Osby “the village by the delta” that has meant a lot to me. If you find all six clues then you will be able to find the FINAL!
Min ungdoms Osby #3– Osby Kyrka
Osby kyrka är uppförd i sten. Koret och absiden är från slutet av 1100- eller början av 1200-talet.
1701 tillbyggdes korsarm i norr och 1770 i söder. 1834 revs det gamla långhuset och ersattes med det nuvarande. Samtidigt tillkom det kvadratiska västtornet.
År 1938 restaurerades kyrkan under ledning av domkyrkoarkitekt Eiler Graebe, varvid korpartiet återställdes i sitt medeltida skick och invigdes till kapell samt försågs med tegelstensaltare och ett triumfkrucifix målat av konservator Osvald Owald.
Här döptes jag 1973 och som de flesta ungdomar så konfirmerades jag också 15 år senare men jag kan villigt erkänna att det var mer för pengarna och presenterna än för att bekräfta det dopet instiftat. Vänligen var noga med att sätta på locket ordentligt.
Osby part of my youth #3– The Church
The Church of Osby is built of stone. The oldest parts are from the end of the 12th century or beginning of the 13th century.
The part of the cross that stretch north was built 1701 and the southern 1770. 1834 the main part stretching east to west was torn down and replaced by the current design. In 1938 the church was reconditioned, parts regained their middle age atmosphere.
I was Christened 1973 and as most youth I went through the confirmation 15 years later, honestly I must say I did it more for the money and the presents than for confirmation of my Christening. Please make sure the cach is closed properly before putting it back
