Holy Trinity, Stourpaine
This small church sits comfortably on the edge of this small
village. It has a greensand tower dates from the 15th century but
parts of the church are some 200 years older.
In recent years the pews have undergone restoration with the
darkness removed to reveal a golden colour which adds to the
brightness of this airy church.
If you have time to explore its interior, to the left of the
main door you will find a large book compiled and maintained by the
villagers with photos and text about the village and church.
The Great Dorset Steam Fair was held in this village from 1969
until its relocation to nearby Tarrant Hinton.
