Geocache Description:

Kids love birthday parties! So bring your geokids and let's celebrate the 10th "birthday" of geocaching!

In our short time geocaching, we've come across many other families that enjoy geocaching with their kids. It's a great family activity!

We thought a 10th Anniversary of Geocaching party would be great opportunity for our geocaching families meet, get to know each other a bit, and trade fun stories about caching with our kids.

Come on out to Papa's Pizza Parlor and enjoy some pizza and celebrate the occasion.
Bring the kids! (All are welcome)

Where:
Papa's Pizza Parlor
15700 NW Blueridge Drive
Beaverton, Oregon 97006
(503) 531-7220
When:
Sunday, May 2nd, 2010, 4pm until 6pm

This event is part of a worldwide celebration of Geocaching's first 10 years happening only on May 1st and 2nd.

The kids can have fun in the indoor play room. The grown-ups can have some social time. Check back as the date approaches for possible updates on event activities.

Please mention how many will be in your party in your "will attend" note so we can make sure there's enough room for everybody.

Also, send a few of your favorite kid-friendly geocaches to us via our profile page and we'll compile a bookmark list and a printout to distribute at the party. Any cool details about the caches would be appreciated.

Thanks!
04/29/2010 Update:

Hi folks, this is coming up soon, and it looks like we will have a pretty good crowd! At the moment I'm estimating 70-80 people including more than 30 kids!

It looks like we will have enough people to qualify for the unique 10th Anniversary icon. To do so, we will be taking a group photo, probably at around 5pm.

We have the large room in the southwest corner of the restaurant reserved from 4pm through 6pm. We won't be able to get in early, so if you arrive before 4pm you'll have to hang out with the general population until the room opens up.

We have no specific agenda, it will all be social time and play time for the kids. We've got lots of newer cachers coming, so it may evolve into a bit of a Q&A, we'll see. I am working on some raffle items and maybe some special treats. I also have a couple of new puzzle caches that will be cropping up in the area around the time of the event, so watch for those.

This is a BYOF (buy your own food) event, and there are gluten-free menu options.

Thanks, everybody!

Wow, what fun!
