Au Moyen Age, le seigneur local résidait dans un petit château érigé sur la colline du Bouchet, qui était attesté au XIIe siècle. Des vestiges de cet édifice subsistaient encore au début du XXe siècle, mais l'exploitation d'une carrière entraîna la destruction du château, pourtant inscrit au Monuments Historiques.
A la Renaissance, le château fort fut abandonné au profit de ce manoir (XVIe siècle). La seigneurie de Gourdan était alors aux main de la famille de Bize.
La famille Lassus-Duperon en fit l'acquisition à la fin du XVIIe siècle, peu de temps avant la Révolution. Depuis cette époque, les propriétaires se sont succédés.

In the Middle Ages, the local lord lived in a small castle built on the Bouchet hill, in the twelfth century. Some remains of this building still existed in the early twentieth century, but quarrying led to the destruction of the castle, though recorded in historical monuments.
During the Renaissance, the castle was abandoned for this manor (sixteenth century). The Lordship of Gourdan was then in the hands of the Bize family.
The Lassus Duperon family purchased it at the end of the seventeenth century, shortly before the Revolution. Since that time, it has had several different owners.
