The GCGC: We had a BLAST! How about you?

Thank you to all who attended this event as well. We were able to collect several bags of trash to help our community and we thank everyone who came out and helped. Without all of you as cachers and/or members of the GCGC, our club wouldn't be what it is today and we thank you for that.

It is always sad to archive a cache or event, but as it is and we must do, it's time to submit the archive.

A GCGC SPRING BLAST CITO EVENT!!!

THE GCGC SWEEPS MARTHA'S CASTLE

Mark your calendar and plan to join the Greater Charlotte Geocaching Club on Saturday, May 22^nd for a full day of fun at Martha Rivers park in Gastonia, NC! The day begins as "The GCGC Storms Martha's Castle" at 10:00 AM with a full host of activities.

This CITO event is a part of the full day of GCGC activities at the Martha Rivers Park and will begin at 1:00 PM.

Our morning activities will last from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM with fun for all ages. Please visit the main event page for more information. Following the morning fun, we will begin our CITO efforts to help keep our parks clean. Drinking water and trash bags will be provided during this CITO event. We ask that you plan to bring your own gloves and anything else that would assist you in picking up trash. Just come to the posted coordinates to receive your supplies and instructions. At the conclusion of the CITO around 2:30 PM, we will take a group picture with what have collected and begin a Hot Dog lunch (details below). Conserve a little energy if you can, our afternoon activities will begin around 3:00 PM.

Feel free to join us for as little or as much of the day's events as possible. This CITO event, along with our main event, will take place rain or shine, so let's do our part to help keep our local parks clean for geocaching and for the joy of being outdoors! Please be sure to log your "will attend" (along with total # planning to eat lunch) so we can plan accordingly. Food after the CITO
Hot Dogs, Buns, Condiments, Plates, Utensils and Drinks will be provided. Please bring your own favorite side dishes to share with the group.
