Rocky Peak is on the LA/Ventura County line. On the peak is a benchmark with the county line indicated. A good fire road will take you within a 200 yards but the last 100 feet represent a good climb (nothing technical.) Check out this link for hike information:

Give yourself about three hours for the round trip; more if you throw in view gazing and lunch. Take a camera.
Nobody agrees on the coordinates of the peak. My Garmin Vista gave me 34 17.510, 118 38.207. Delorme maps gives 34 17.525, 118 38.237 and MapSource says 34 17.517, 118 34.189. Anyway, the peak sits by itself well off the fire road to the east. I took the road to an elevation equal to the peak and traveled East. Other trails leave the fire road at a lower elevation and travel on a more direct path (North) but I cannot recommend these as I have not traveled them.
