Familie Frech: Nach vielen Jahren und 1.080 "founds" müssen wir den Cache leider deaktivieren. Wir sind umgezogen und kommen nur noch sehr selten zu dem schönen Rotkreuzplatz.
Die Stelle ist wieder frei und wir hoffen, dass unser Cache einen würdigen Nachfolger bekommt.

Einfacher Tradi mit Blick auf den Brunnen des Rotkreuzplatzes.

Der schon in den zwanziger Jahren als der »Stachus von Neuhausen« bezeichnete Platz ist der unbestrittene Mittelpunkt Neuhausens. Nachdem der Frauenverein vom Roten Kreuz 1892 dort den Krankenhausbetrieb aufgenommen hatte, wurde die Institution 1903 Namenspatron für den Platz, der damit erstmals einen Namen erhielt.
Seine Bedeutung als Zentrum reicht allerdings weit zurück: Hier stand in der frühen Neuzeit das Herrenhaus des »Edelsitz Neuhausen«, das in der Barockzeit als Jagdschloss neu erbaut wurde. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde es ebenso zerstört wie die Winthirapotheke mit ihrem "Burgturm" und fast alle anderen Gebäude am Rotkreuzplatz.
Zum Teil schloss man nach dem Krieg an den alten Namen und die Tradition an: So mit dem Kino »Schloßtheater« an der Nymphenburger Straße 166, das nach erfolgreichen Anfängen in den zwanziger Jahren im Kinoboom der fünfziger Jahre prosperierte. Schon in den zwanziger Jahren hatte auch Ludwig Sarcletti einen Eiskiosk am Rotkreuzplatz eröffnet, der nach dem Krieg wieder entstand. 1974 verschwand er zugunsten des Eiscafes, das sich 30 Jahre später unverminderter Beliebtheit erfreut. Keinen Neuanfang gab es für das Kaufhaus Schottländer, dessen jüdische Besitzer in der NS-Zeit in die Emigration gezwungen wurden, während das Haus an der Südseite des Platzes »arisiert« wurde.
War der Rotkreuzplatz schon seit der frühen Neuzeit eine bedeutsame Wegkreuzung, drohte ihm unter dem Verkehrsansturm der 1960er und 1970er Jahre der Kollaps.

***English*** A small traditional with a view to the fountain of Rotkreuzplatz (Red Cross Place)

The place was already in the twenties called "Stachus of Neuhausen“ and is until now the undisputed center of Neuhausen. After the woman association of the red cross had taken up 1892 the running of the hospital there, the institution became 1903 name patron for the place, which received thereby a name for the first time.
Its meaning as center goes back however far: Here was located in the early modern times the manor house of the »Edelsitz Neuhausen«, which was rebuilt in the baroque time as hunting seat. In the Second World War it was lalso destroyed like the Winthir pharmacy with its castle tower and nearly all other buildings at the red cross place.

Partially it was gone along after the war with the old names and the tradition: So with the cinema ”Schlosstheater“ at the Nymphenburger road 166, which prospered after successful beginnings in the twenties in the cinema boom of the fifties. Already in the twenties also Ludwig Sarcletti had opened an ice kiosk at the red cross place, which came into existence after the war again. It disappeared to 1974 in favor of the ice cream parlor, which enjoys of 30 years late undiminished popularity. There was no new start for the department store of bulkhead countries, whose Jewish owners in the NS time were forced into the emigration, while the house at the south side of the place became arianised.
If the red cross place was already since the early modern times an important way crossing, under the traffic attack of the 1960er and 1970's the collapse threatened it.
