Sursky kanal je umely odvodnovaci kanal na juhozapadnom Slovensku. Je napajany vodami stekajucimi z Malych Karpat. Bol vybudovany v rokoch 1956 až 1957 po obvode Narodnej prirodnej rezervacie Sur. Vyustenie Surskeho kanala do Maleho Dunaja je za obcou Ivanka pri Dunaji a za stavidlami v dlzke cca 2 km.

A teraz k samotnej keske. Nachadza sa pri vyssie spominanom stavidle, ktore trvalo reguluje vysku hladiny kanala, takže velmi sa s nim nehybe. Na vodnej hladine zije mnozstvo vtactva, preto pokial sa vam podari nieco zaujimave odfotografovat, budem rad, ked k logu prilozite fotodokumentaciu :-)
Pristupovych ciest je hned niekolko, odporucam si najoptimalnejsiu pozriet cez gugl maps. Rozhodne by som sa nepokusal o Drive In, cesta je vhodnejsia na Bike In. Da sa vyuzit obcerstvovacia zastavka na blizkych jazerach – Psacincoch (alebo aj Zelenej vode). V letnych mesiacoch si prosim pribalte repelent. Miesto je vhodne na nedelnajsie poobedne prechadzky ci uz s rodinou, alebo stvornohym zverom :-). Pokial budu pritomne deti, dajte si prosim pozor na nechcene vykupanie sa ratolesti vo vode.
Pokial sa vam nepodarilo trafit spravny breh, nic sa nedeje, kusok za stavidlom je lavicka, po ktorej sa da pohodlne prejst.

Sursky canal is a hand made catch-water drain in the southwest of Slovakia. It’s fed by defluent water from Small Carpatians. It was built in 1956-1957 around the National Nature Reserve ‘Sur’.
The drain mouth to Small Danube river is located behind the village of Ivanka pri Dunaji and behind the keeps in distance of around 2km.

And now to the actual cache. It’s located near the above-mentioned keeps which regulate the level of canal, therefore they are not moved a lot. There are lots of birds living there so if you manage to take a picture of something interesting I would be happy if you could attach your photo documentation. :)
There is a choice of access roads, I advise to find the best one for you on Google maps. I definitely wouldn’t try to drive-in, the road is more suitable for bike-in. You can also use a refresh stop on the close-by lakes – Psacince (called also Zelena Voda). Please take with you an insect repellent during the summer months. The place is also suitable for afternoon stroll with your family or your pets :)
If you take children please make sure that they won’t end up in the water.
If you didn’t manage to locate the correct bank nothing happens. A little bit further, behind the keeps, there is a comfortable footbridge where you can cross.

Sursky Kanal ist ein künstliche Ableitungskanal in Südwest der Slowakei. Er ist durch die von Kleine Karpaten abstromenden Gewässer versorgt. Er wurde in den Jahren 1956 – 1957 um Nationalparkkreis Sur gebaut.
Der Sursky Kanal mündet in die Kleine Donau hinter dem Dorf Ivanka pri Dunaji und hinter der Schleusse in der Breite ca. 2 Km aus.

Und jetzt zum Versteck. Es befindet sich bei der Schleusse, die die Wasserebene reguliert. Auf der Wasseroberfläche leben viele Vögel. Falls Sie ein interessantes Foto schiessen, machen Sie mir bitte Freude und legen Sie das Bild bitte zum log zu.
Zugangswegen gibt’s gleich mehrere, den besten empfehle ich mit Hilfe von google maps zu finden. Auf jeden Fall würde ich das Auto hinten lassen und die Strecke lieber mit dem Fahrrad machen. Falls Sie Durst oder Hunger haben sollten, halten Sie bei den nahliegenden Seen: ‚Psacince‘ oder ‚Zelena voda‘ an. Hier kann man auch schöne Spaziergänge machen oder mit ihrem vierbeinigen Liebling Spaß haben. Die Kinder können nicht im Wasser baden! Im Sommer vergessen Sie nicht an das Repellent. Falls Sie auf das falsche Ufer kommen, es ist kein Problem, kurz hinter der Schleuse befindet sich eine kleine Brücke/Bank.
