Cmentarz:
Nieopodal zabudowan Lichwina-Stadniczówki, na
waskim, zalesionym grzbiecie znajduje sie cmentarz z I WS.
Pochowanych jest tu 17 zolnierzy austro-wegierskich i 131
rosyjskich. Projektant tego cmentarza nie jest ustalony,
prawdopodobnie byl nim Heinrich Scholz, glówny projektant tego
obszaru. Pierwotnie cmentarz ten posiadal drewniane ogrodzenie, nie
posiadal pomnika centralnego a zamiast niego staly 3 drewniane
krzyze. Zaden jednak z tych drewnianych elementów nie zachowal sie.
Jeszcze niedawno cmentarz byl bardzo zaniedbany i zdewastowany,
nagrobki byly poprzewracane. W roku 2005 teren zostal oczyszczony i
doprowadzony do lepszego stanu. Niestety brak jest jednak jego
stalej opieki w skutek czego cmentarz systematycznie zarasta.
W przypadku tego cmentarza zachowaly sie dosc szczególowe dane na
temat poleglych Rosjan, co jest rzadko spotykane, gdyz Rosjanie nie
publikowali informacji na temat swoich poleglych. Jednak w poblizu,
w jednym z zabudowan znajdowal sie lazaret. Przebywajacy tu ranni
Rosjanie poznali sie z miejscowym gospodarzem i podali mu swoje
nazwiska.

The cemetery:
Near buildings in Lichwin-Stadniczówka, on a
narrow, wooded ridge there is a war cemetery from WWI. 17
Austro-Hungarian soldiers and 131 Russian are buried there. A
designer of this cemetery is unknown, but most likely it was
Heinrich Scholz, the main designer of this area. Originally, there
was a wooden fence, and instead of a central memorial there were 3
wooden crosses. None of these wooden features survived. Not so long
ago, the cemetery was very untidy and devastated, graves were
knocked down. In 2005 the cemetery was tided up and now looks much
better. Unfortunately, there is no continuous supervision so the
cemetery has been systematically overgrowing.
Some data about the fallen Russians survived, which is unusual
because Russians didn't publish information about their fallen
soldiers. Nearby, in one of the buildings, there was a field
hospital. The injured Russians who stayed there, gave their names
to a local farmer.
The cache:
The container includes a logbook, pencil and
items for trade.
