There are three distance restrictions regarding the placement of new caches: (See the guidelines.)
- Saturation restriction: a new physical cache has to be at least 528 feet from the nearest physical cache.
- Railroad restriction: a cache has to be at least 150 feet from the nearest railroad track.
- Puzzle restriction: The actual location of the cache should be within two miles of the posted location.
This cache is barely legal. In particular:
- The closest cache when this was placed is a traditional cache which is just over 528 feet away.
- (However, another more recent cache was placed only 450 feet away.)
- The nearest point on the nearest railroad track is 170 feet away.
- The distance from the posted coordinates to the solution is 10557 feet.
