Geocache Description:

Located 4.3 miles from I-40, exit 329, to Owl Roost Rd. Can drive within 250 ft. of cache, or hike 2.5 miles from Black Mountain Natural Area sign, or any amount in between.

Ammo Box w/ University of Tennessee souveniers. Even though this Cache started out with a UT Vols theme feel free to leave any trade item behind. This area has many hiking trails, and is heavily traveled by rock climbers and outdoors enthusiasts. Be careful if you attempt to retrieve this cache during inclement winter weather, as the road to the Black Mountain Cache is a narrow one.

Since they made this the Justin Wilson State Park Cumberland Trail it is closed from sunset to sunrise.

A little bit about the history of the Ammo Can that is now the Black Mountain Cache. The box and log book were the original first Cache in Cumberland County. It was the Go Big Orange I Cache. I marked the page in the log book to start logging this Cache.
