Geocache Description:

Cache set to help you on your way to or from The Greyhound Pub at Tidmarsh – should you need an excuse!
Ties in nicely with Tidmarsh Mill (GCQBHR) and Sul Brook Series (GC 149QK).
Path may be boggy/muddy at times but a lovely little walk.
PLEASE ENSURE YOU TAKE A PENCIL AND PUT CACHE BACK PROPERLY!

This thatched pub is a good watering hole prior to or after your caching and hopefully will have it’s roof intact when you visit!

Cache situated near WW2 pill boxes and on a public footpath between the Pang and Sulham brook. There's pillboxes literally every hundred meters in this neck of the woods. As this area was deemed to be one of the lines of defence should there be an invasion, so began the building of the many pillboxes we see today on farmland surrounding the two villages.
It is part of the GHQ stopline running from south reading up towards Night Crawler's patch in Oxfordshire.
Parking for one car by farm gates at N51 28 098 W001 04 584
Alternative parking at Greyhound Pub, lay-by near Tidmarsh Mill or a lay-by near the phone box at the bottom of Sulham Hill (this involves a short walk along Sulham Lane to access the footpath)
