Big Tree, Small Cache Traditional Geocache
Cache Effect: I have received no response from the cache owner, so I must regretfully archive this. If it turns up or is replaced in the future, email me and I will review it for unarchival.
Thanks!

After all this time, the Red Creek Fir, the largest Douglas Fir
in the world, finally has a cache. The tree actually used to be
bigger, but a wind storm broke the top off a few years back.
This tree has come under the spotlight recently due to all of the
active logging and the TFL controversy on the west coast of
Vancouver Island. Fortunately, this tree is on crown land and is
something that everyone should see in their lifetime.
Every website you find will tell you to take Red Creek main to
the tree. On our first visit we took it and it was extremely rough
and it took awhile. A 4x4 is recommended. When we got to the tree,
there was a sedan with almost no mud on it. We made sure to follow
them out and took waypoints along the way. The alternate
directions provided below can be followed in a regular car but
you will want to bring a spare tire and drive slowly in parts.
