Geocache Description:

Like the playful sea otter, this multi-cache puzzle is about having fun.

Fun treks! . . . Fun puzzle! . . . Fun finds!

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.

The cache is at these mystery coords:

N 34 aa.bcd W 111 ae.fag

To solve the puzzle and find the cache, first find the hidden equation in each of the 7 caches listed on KOT’s Otterly Fun! Bookmark List on this web page. Next substitute the letters a – g in the above mystery coords for the letters found in the cache equations.

Once you have all the equations and letters substituted, use the photo clue below to help decode the numbers that the substitute letters represent. Plug the numbers into the coords and go find the cache.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Most of the caches are along the Oak Springs Trail #16 or Walnut Trail #251 in Pine, AZ. Two are found close to the parking coords for Cletus Ray Rd.

Parking is available at the Pine Trailhead, Hardscrabble Mesa Trailhead and Cletus Ray Rd. See each cache page for details. Have fun!

Note:
You must personally sign the physical log in all 7 caches to receive credit for finding this cache.

On a more serious note, please take time to read the inside lid of the Otterly Fun! cache container. The California sea otter remains on the endangered list. As we enjoy geocaching in the great outdoors, let’s recall these words of John Muir:
“Do something for wildness and make the mountains glad!.”
